Surg Tech - Main OR, Evenings

Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties, performing technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. In lieu of Surgical Tech certification, 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years Surgical Tech experience.

RESPONSIBLE FOR: 
Facilitating patient care by assisting the physician during surgery in the Operating Room (OR) for multiple specialties, performing technical and some patient care duties under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Functions as a clinical specialist across numerous service specialty lines. Assumes additional responsibilities for maintaining surgical specialties as necessary and serves as a resource. Functions on a more global level and is more involved in detailed surgical endeavors related to the surgery department.

Qualifications:

MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
High School Diploma or GED.
Graduate of a Surgical Technology Program or LPN program.

MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Surgical Tech Certification and 3 years of experience required. In lieu of Surgical Tech certification, 7 years of experience can be substituted for certification for a total requirement of 10 years Surgical Tech experience.

MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Current GA LPN License if applicable.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Certification as a Surgical Technologist Required or Licensed as an LPN required.
BLS certification required.
