Job Description: Surface Supervisor
Location: Greater Lyons 
We are seeking a Surface Supervisor to join our operations team. In this role, you will lead a workforce responsible for producing and shipping bulk and packaged salt products. Your main focus will be ensuring safe and efficient operations while fostering a positive team environment.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Supervise mill operators, package operators, laborers, and contractors.
  • Maintain high safety standards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Oversee production scheduling and ensure quality standards are met.
  • Manage employee performance through training and accountability.
  • Coordinate with other departments to support smooth operations.
  • Assist with project planning and execution, including equipment installation and process improvements.
  • Ensure proper maintenance and housekeeping standards are upheld.
Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or GED.
  • 3+ years of leadership experience in heavy industry or manufacturing.
  • Familiarity with mobile equipment and milling processes.
  • Strong mechanical skills and problem-solving ability.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to lift 50-100 pounds and work in various environmental conditions.
  • Willingness to work overtime, weekends, or holidays as
  • needed.Shift Clarity:
    Flexibility is important in this role. After an initial training period, candidates can expect to settle into a consistent back shift schedule (primarily 2nd or 3rd shift or a split) approximately 80–90% of the time. However, there may be occasional needs (10–20%) to adjust schedules based on operational demands. In return, we offer flexibility and support when you need it.
