We are seeking a Clinical Services Support Team Supervisor in Smyrna, GA to provide operational leadership to clinical support staff within our healthcare call center environment.
POSITION SUMMARY
The Clinical Services Support Team Supervisor provides operational oversight for clinical support staff within a healthcare call center environment. This position is responsible for managing staffing, scheduling, timekeeping, employee performance, and clinical support workflows while ensuring a high standard of patient service, quality, and compliance.
The ideal candidate will bring proven supervisory experience in a healthcare call center or clinical operations environment, experience obtaining medication histories, strong knowledge of pharmacology, and familiarity with CMS Stars and HEDIS quality measures.
This position also requires schedule flexibility to support evening operations. Candidates must be local to the Smyrna/Atlanta area and comfortable working schedules that may include 12:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m. or 3:00 p.m.–12:00 a.m., based on business needs.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and manage daily and long-term staffing schedules to ensure appropriate coverage.
- Coordinate time-off requests, shift swaps, call-outs, and real-time staffing adjustments based on operational needs and call volume.
- Ensure staff adherence to attendance, punctuality, scheduling, and timekeeping expectations.
- Review and approve employee timecards, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.
- Partner with Human Resources and Payroll to resolve timekeeping or payroll discrepancies.
- Monitor labor utilization, overtime, staffing efficiency, and related operational metrics.
- Support Clinical Support Team Leads in ensuring clinical calls, documentation, and patient interactions meet established compliance, safety, and quality standards.
- Assist with initiatives related to CMS Stars and HEDIS measures, including tracking and improving key performance indicators.
- Oversee and assist staff with obtaining comprehensive and accurate medication histories from patients.
- Support medication reconciliation workflows and collaborate with pharmacists and providers as needed.
- Complete medication histories as necessary to support timely completion of medication reconciliation tasks.
- Partner with the Clinical Services Manager on employee performance reviews, performance concerns, coaching, and employee recognition.
- Ensure all team members comply with HIPAA requirements, clinical protocols, and healthcare call center standards.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s degree in Nursing and LPN licensure required.
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisory experience in a healthcare call center or clinical operations environment.
- Hands-on experience obtaining medication histories.
- Strong knowledge of pharmacology, medications, therapeutic classes, and medication safety.
- Familiarity with CMS Stars and HEDIS quality programs strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills in a virtual or hybrid work environment.
- Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with electronic health records, medication management systems, and healthcare call center technology.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Ability to run reports and analyze information using Excel formulas.
- Medical Assistant or Pharmacy Technician certification preferred but not required.
- Experience with telephonic call center platforms such as InContact, Five9, or similar systems preferred.
- Willingness to obtain multiple state licenses as needed based on business requirements.
- Ability to fluently read and write in English; bilingual skills are preferred.
