Support Service Staff - Part-Time/On-Call

• This is a Part-Time/On-Call position that provides supplemental staffing for our West Seattle and Federal Way Permanent Supportive Housing sites. This position may also provide support at our Severe Weather Shelters throughout King County, when activated. Applicants must be able to commit to working full shifts, are required to regularly be available a minimum of 3 shifts per month.

Safe, habitable, and affordable housing is a basic need. The Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle (ULMS) Housing Department provides direct service programs and resources to individuals and families through shelters, transitional housing, rental assistance, and homeownership programs.

ULMS is actively hiring Support Service Staff for our Permanent Supportive Housing sites. The Support Service Staff will support residents by maintaining a clean, safe, and organized space. This position is responsible for providing and/or assisting residents in accessing support services, community integration, life skill training, coordination of transportation, and other needed services

Day Shift: 700 AM - 3:00 PM

Swing Shift: 3:00PM - 11:00PM

Overnight/Graveyard Shift: 11:00 PM - 7:00 AM

REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

• 1-year experience doing homeless outreach or homeless services
• HS Diploma or GED required
• Ability to read and write in standard English
• Excellent oral and written communication
• Ability to prepare communications, such as memos, emails, reports and other correspondence
• Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office - Word, Excel and Outlook
• Demonstrates cultural competency and sensitivity to the needs of adults with multiple challenges
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Ability to maintain privacy and confidentiality
• Non-profit experience strongly preferred

• PTO accrued at 0.07361 per hour worked

Compensation: $25.75 - $27.80 per hour
