Develop all publication elements for all levels of maintenance for a new or fielded major equipment system or multiple sub systems including theory of operations, flight manuals, testing and troubleshooting procedures, illustrated parts breakdown, removal and installation procedures and schematic diagrams. Collects, researches and analyzes source data to include equipment requirements, maintenance concepts, task analysis documentations, workflows and concept of design to determine impact to technical publications.

Shift: 1st shift 7:00 am 3:30 pm

Position Responsibilities
Develop all publication elements for all levels of maintenance for a new or fielded major equipment system or multiple sub systems including theory of operations, flight manuals, testing and troubleshooting procedures, illustrated parts breakdown, removal and installation procedures and schematic diagrams
Resolves source data gaps and inconsistencies with originator
Provide art/illustration mark-ups
Updates publication elements based on internal/external reviews, source data changes and equipment modifications
Collects, researches and analyzes source data to include equipment requirements, maintenance concepts, task analysis documentations, workflows and concept of design to determine impact to technical publications
Identifies source data inaccuracies and takes corrective action
Validates source data assumptions
Conducts peer reviews of completed publication elements for overall technical accuracy and customers format standards/specifications
Supports customer verification reviews and takes corrective action based on outcome

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
1 year of tactical aircraft avionics systems, subsystems, and components, to include flight controls, radar, communications and weapons, power distribution, etc. This includes the requirements, operating principles, design variables, performance, and key interfaces.
1 years of experience with technical data and publications for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering?
1 years of experience with Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Access and Power Point)

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
2 years of experience in either military or civilian aircraft maintenance
1 years of experience authoring aircraft technical data
1 years of experience with reading and interpreting vendor data and Engineering drawings, 3D models, wiring diagrams, and interface control documents
1 years experience with S1000D & Interactive Electronic Technical Manual publication
Familiar with eXtensible Markup Language; XML
