Support Administrator

Nucor Steel Gallatin LLC is seeking a Division Support Administrator in Ghent, KY to create a positive first impression for visitors while delivering essential administrative and clerical support across multiple plant departments. This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel), and at least one year of administrative office experience.

Key Job Responsibilities

• Front Desk & Guest Services: Answer incoming calls promptly, welcome visitors, organize venue bookings or off-site menus, and coordinate tour guides for visiting groups.
• Administrative & Departmental Support: Provide clerical assistance to the Admin, Sales, and Accounting departments, handle mail sorting/distribution, update the phone directory, and publish birth or bereavement announcements.
• Event & Operations Logistics: Manage plant-wide meal setups, ensure event rooms are prepared and reset, ensure visitor safety equipment is available, and maintain on-site transportation options.
• Inventory & Purchasing Management: Track inventory for meeting rooms, kitchens, and administrative supplies, order promotional materials for the Commercial team, enter purchase requisitions into IVARA, and assist Accounts Payable with invoice processing.
