Description

Job Title: Supply & Services Procurement Manager

Location: Piscataway, NJ Or Overland Park, KS

Pay Rate: $63.72 per hour, W 2

Duration: 12+ Month Contract

  • Work Hours - Mon - Fri - 4 days onsite and 1 day remote
    Shift - 1st
  • Travel Required: Travel 20% of time

Summary:

  • Serve as the embedded commercial partner to the Pet Nutrition Engineering and Plant Operations teams.
  • Drive maximum asset utilization and long-term capital efficiency.
  • Guide teams through advanced risk management, strategic commercial structuring, and collaborative negotiations.
  • Optimize the entire lifecycle of service and goods purchases, including capital equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Act as a seamless extension of the plant teams, participating early in capital planning.
  • Structure agreements focusing on asset utilization, ensuring maximum machinery performance.
  • Author and negotiate comprehensive after-sales support frameworks and performance guarantees.
  • Secure long-term contractual spare parts availability and critical technical support response times.
  • Demonstrate deep structural knowledge of commercial law and risk allocation.
  • Translate complex manufacturing timelines into legally enforceable contractual deadlines.
  • Drive a culture of process modernization across plant environments.
  • Lead executive-level Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) programs with global OEMs.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 8 years of experience in procurement, capital sourcing, or heavy manufacturing project engineering.
  • Hands-on experience structuring, negotiating, and executing high-value capital equipment contracts.
  • Proven ability to interpret complex specifications and project schedules.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Sourcing, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior procurement or engineering leadership experience in a highly automated manufacturing environment.
  • Success in leading large-scale capital or infrastructure optimization projects.
  • Hands-on experience with procurement platforms such as SAP Ariba, Sigma, and Ironclad (CLM).
  • Full proficiency collaborating within a Google Workspace environment.
