Service Supply Planning and Procurement Analyst

A leading global technology company is seeking a detail-oriented supply chain professional to support service supply planning, procurement, inventory management, and supplier operations. This role works closely with OEMs, vendors, warehouse and planning teams to maintain material availability, resolve supply constraints, and support customer demand.

Employment Type - Contract

Duration - 3 months with possible extension

Location - Sunnyvale, CA

Pay Range - $65 - $70.64 hourly on W2

Responsibilities

Include:

• Manage customer backlog and provide recovery dates based on supply plans and OEM commitments.
• Analyze weekly new-buy and repair supply requirements using supply planning systems.
• Create and manage POs and work with OEMs to expedite supply when demand increases.
• Maintain planning parameters and support weekly supply planning and execution.
• Publish weekly master production schedules (MPS) to multiple OEMs.
• Monitor material availability, inventory levels, shortages, backlogs, and potential supply interruptions.
• Manage the complete PO lifecycle, including creation, past-due management, takeovers, price updates, and quantity changes.
• Coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve shipping, scheduling, invoice, and supply issues.
• Drive backlog activities, warehouse escalations, substitutions, and other supply recovery actions.
• Analyze inventory levels and collaborate with warehouse and planning teams to maintain operational efficiency.
• Coordinate order processing for OEM and broker component sales, ensuring orders are accurately tracked and fulfilled.
• Work cross-functionally with planning, warehouse, finance, vendors, and other stakeholders to support product demand and resolve supply issues.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Experience in supply planning, materials planning, supply chain operations, procurement, or a related field.
• Hands-on experience working directly with OEMs, manufacturers, or external suppliers.
• Experience managing purchase orders, supplier follow-up, expediting, and supply execution.
• Experience analyzing supply requirements, inventory, demand, shortages, backlogs, or forecasts.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to investigate and resolve supply issues.
• Hands-on Excel experience for data analysis, reporting, tracking, or planning activities.
• Experience working cross-functionally with vendors, warehouse teams, planning teams, finance, and internal stakeholders.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Operations, Engineering, Finance, or a related field preferred.

Other qualifications/requirements:

• Strong communication, organization, and follow-through skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced supply chain environment.

Must-Haves:

• Supply Planning Experience - Hands-on experience with supply/material planning, supply requirements, MPS, inventory planning, or related planning activities.
• OEM Experience - Direct experience working with OEMs, contract manufacturers, or manufacturing partners; this should be clearly demonstrated within the candidate's employment history.
• Excel Experience - Hands-on Excel usage must be demonstrated under the candidate's jobs/experience, preferably for analysis, planning, reporting, or supply-chain tracking.
• Strong Analytical Skills - Experience analyzing supply, demand, inventory, shortages, backlog, forecasts, or other operational data.
• Procurement/PO Management - Experience creating, managing, expediting, or resolving purchase orders and supplier issues.
• Supply/Shortage Management - Experience handling material availability, shortages, backlogs, expedites, or supply interruptions.

Nice-to-Haves:

• Experience with service parts, repair supply, replacement parts, or aftermarket supply chains.
• Experience in electronics, hardware, semiconductor, or consumer technology environments.
• SAP, Oracle, Kinaxis, or other ERP/supply planning system experience.
• Power BI, Tableau, SQL, or other analytical tools.
• Experience with inventory optimization, inventory turns, safety stock, or supply-chain KPIs.
• Experience with warehouse operations, supplier escalations, or invoice discrepancy resolution.
• Experience with Wrike or similar workflow/project-management tools.
