Description

Job Title:         Supply Management Specialist II

Client:              Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company

Duration:         24 Months (Possible Extension/Conversion)

Location:         Horicon WI 53032

Shift:                1st Shift, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM (overtime may be required)

Job Responsibilities

Major Purpose
• Manage day-to-day supplier performance and relationships for assigned commodities.
• Coordinate purchased parts delivery with internal teams and external suppliers to support factory operations at Horicon Works.
• Monitor supplier quality, delivery, inventory, and performance.
• Support continuous improvement and resolve supplier or supply-related issues.

 

Major Duties
• Execute supply chain planning activities within established processes.
• Communicate regularly with business-critical suppliers and respond to supply issues.
• Analyze supplier performance and provide feedback on key metrics.
• Research cost drivers, market conditions, alternative suppliers, and improvement opportunities.
• Support contract performance reviews and provide information for negotiations/renegotiations.
• Manage site/factory inventory and help resolve discrepancies.
• Coordinate meetings, actions, and activities with internal stakeholders and suppliers.
• Prepare reports and maintain accurate supply chain information.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
• Proficiency in Excel, including sorting, filtering, formulas, and data management.
• Ability to multitask and adjust priorities.
• Strong organization and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced team environment.

 

Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Management, Supply Chain, Operations, or related field.
• Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
• SAP experience or exposure.
• Experience with suppliers, inventory, logistics, purchasing, or operations.

 

Ideal Candidate
• 4-year degree preferred.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Experience coordinating with suppliers or supporting supply chain operations.
• SAP/MRP system exposure.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Able to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
