Description

Job Title:                                 Supply Management Specialist I 

Client Industry:                        Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company

Duration:                                 12 months

Location:                                 Fargo, ND, 58102

Schedule:                                1st shift - 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM

Weekends and OT will be required as the business needs

 

Description:

Provides entry-level sourcing, EPDP, and EOFP support. Supports the development, execution, and enforcement of sourcing strategies and contracts for lower-value, less-complex commodities. Assists with cost models, make-versus-buy studies, spend analysis, invoice issue resolution, and data analysis. Works with Strategic Sourcing to address supplier performance issues and supplier validation during the early selection process. Uses the Achieving Excellence process to manage supplier performance. Exercises independent judgment and discretion, with periodic review by management.

Job Responsibilities

Key Reposnsibilities

  • Executes supply chain planning activities within established frameworks and systems.
  • Performs supplier management activities to support business requirements.
  • Collects and analyzes data using established tools, methods, and formats.
  • Responds to routine functional inquiries by following established procedures and precedents.
  • Conducts complex analysis, quality testing, and inspections requiring independent judgment.
  • Reviews existing operations and supports continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Follows company policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, and codes of conduct.
  • Resolves complex questions from internal and external customers or suppliers.
  • Creates, updates, and supports complex Microsoft documents, databases, and departmental systems.
  • Advises colleagues and contributes to improving business processes.
