Job Summary

The Supply Management Specialist I will support supply chain, supplier management, procurement, and inventory activities for assigned commodities. The role manages day-to-day supplier relationships, supports factory operations, resolves purchasing issues, and drives continuous improvement in quality, delivery, and supply performance.

Job Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

·         Manage day-to-day performance and relationships with assigned suppliers.

·         Execute supply chain planning activities within established processes and systems.

·         Maintain regular contact with business-critical suppliers.

·         Monitor supplier performance and provide feedback on key supplier management indicators.

·         Identify and address supplier or supply-related issues.

·         Collect and analyze information on: Cost drivers, Market conditions, Innovation opportunities, Alternative suppliers

·         Support continuous improvement initiatives.

·         Monitor existing contract performance and provide information for contract negotiations/renegotiations.

·         Manage site/factory inventory and resolve discrepancies following established procedures.

·         Support stakeholder engagement through meetings, actions, and events.

·         Convert requisitions and shopping carts into purchase orders.

·         Resolve: Blocked invoices, Delinquent orders, PO transmission issue, Shopping cart errors

·         Educate and provide support to suppliers and internal stakeholders.

·         Execute the Annual Framework process.

·         Prepare and report supply chain and supplier performance information.

Qualifications

Required Skills & Qualifications

·         Strong written and verbal communication skills.

·         Good organizational, planning, and prioritization skills.

·         Strong data collection and analysis abilities.

·         Proficiency with Microsoft Office.

·         Understanding of procurement and supply chain processes.

·         Ability to manage multiple priorities and resolve issues effectively.

 

Preferred / Desired Skills

·         1+ year of Supply Management or Logistics experience.

·         1+ year of SAP Materials Management (SAP MM) experience.

·         1+ year of Customer Service / Procure-to-Pay experience, particularly requisition-to-purchase-order processes.

·         Knowledge or experience with John Deere Supply Network (JDSN) applications.

·         Data and analytics experience using Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.

·         Experience with supplier management, inventory management, costing, and reporting.

 

Education

·         Bachelor’s Degree preferred in Supply Chain, Supply Management, Business, Logistics, or a related field.

·         Equivalent relevant work experience may also be considered.

 

Work Environment

·         Onsite position in Moline, IL.

·         1st Shift with a start time between 6:00 AM and 7:00 AM.

·         Regular interaction with suppliers, internal stakeholders, and supply-chain teams.
