Client: Heavy Machine Manufacturing Company
Location: Fuquay-Varina, NC 27526
Duration: 24 Months (Possible Extension/Conversion)
Shift: 1st Shift – 7:00 AM–3:30 PM
Description:
Job Summary
Manage supplier relationships and purchased-parts delivery to support factory operations. The role focuses on supplier performance, inventory, delivery, cost analysis, and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day performance and relationships with assigned suppliers.
- Monitor supplier quality and delivery performance.
- Manage purchased-parts delivery for internal and external suppliers.
- Respond to complex supplier issues and analyze performance.
- Track key supplier management indicators and provide feedback.
- Research cost drivers, market trends, innovations, and alternative suppliers.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives.
- Monitor contract performance and provide input for negotiations/renegotiations.
- Manage site/factory inventory and resolve discrepancies.
- Coordinate stakeholder meetings, actions, and events.
- Maintain knowledge of supply chain practices, regulations, and technology.
Required Skills
- Strong communication skills.
- Good typing and computer skills.
- Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Planning and organizing.
- Data collection and analysis.
- Procurement/supply management knowledge.
- Reporting and review skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- 4-year degree in Business, Supply Management, or related field.
- SAP experience.
- Recent graduates are welcome to apply.
Education
Post-secondary education preferred.
