Supply Management Planner I - Supply Management

Job Title: Supply Management Planner
Location: Waterloo, IA
Job Type: 24-month contract, W2
Expected hours per week: 40 hours per week
Schedule: On-site, Monday-Friday, 7am-3:30pm
Pay Range: $26.42 per hour
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States and maintain work authorization independently throughout employment. This position does not provide employment visa sponsorship, transfers, or extensions now or in the future.
Job Description:
Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented Supply Management Planner to support the coordination and delivery of purchased materials from internal and external suppliers. The successful candidate will work closely with suppliers, manufacturing teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely material availability, support production schedules, and maintain accurate supply chain data. This role requires strong communication skills, analytical thinking, and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Responsibilities
Manage the delivery and availability of purchased parts from suppliers to support operational and production requirements.
Monitor supplier performance and communicate proactively regarding shortages, delays, and delivery concerns.
Collaborate with internal teams including manufacturing, operations, engineering, logistics, and purchasing to resolve material issues.
Analyze supply chain and inventory data to identify potential risks and support continuous improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation using Microsoft Excel and other business systems.
Assist in tracking supplier commitments, delivery schedules, and material replenishment activities.
Support problem resolution related to inventory discrepancies, shipment delays, or supplier performance concerns.
Utilize ERP systems and supply management tools to manage material planning activities.
Required Qualifications
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
Strong computer and typing skills with the ability to navigate multiple systems.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, or a related field.
Recent graduates are encouraged to apply.
Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems.
Knowledge of supply chain, procurement, inventory management, or material planning processes.
