Job Title: Supply Finance Lead
Location: Parsippany ,NJ
Duration: 10 months  contract with a possible contract to hire

Description :

Your responsibilities
  • Lead the supply finance workstream of the SAP-to-Microsoft Dynamics 365 implementation across the United States and Canada, owning, build, configuration, test, data migration, cutover and hypercare for cost, inventory and freight.
  • Implement product costing in the new system per the global template, including standard cost setup, cost roll-ups and costing sheets, and the calculation and posting of manufacturing and purchase price variances, configuring and validationg that in works for North America business.
  • Configure and validate inventory accounting and valuation, ensuring inventory is well controlled, that goods movements post correctly, and that the inventory sub-ledger reconciles cleanly to the general ledger.
  • Setup the treatment of freight and landed cost in line with the template, so that inbound freight is captured in product cost and distribution costs are recorded accurately.
  • Implement inventory provisioning for excess, markdown and obsolescence (EMO), ensuring reserves are calculated and posted in line with policy and give a true view of inventory value.
  • Configure the treatment of intercompany inventory movements and transfer pricing between the US and Canadian entities, including profit in stock, in line with the global template and Group policy.
  • Establish inventory controls within the new system, including physical inventory and cycle-count processes, count adjustments and tolerances, and appropriate segregation of duties over goods movements, write offs and cost changes.
  • Configure the inventory and COGS elements of the month-end close, including variance settlement, COGS cut-off and the inventory roll-forward, and support a timely, well-controlled close through cutover and hypercare.
  • Ensure cost of goods sold and margin are designed to report accurately and give the business clear visibility of profitability by product and channel.
  • Adapt the global template to local needs and propose fit for purpose enhancements where North American business genuinely requires them, working through the appropriate governance with CHQ.
  • Partner with supply chain, operations and the North America Controller to align the design with how the business plans, makes and moves product.
  • Coordinate with the Group finance transformation team at CHQ to ensure consistency with the global template and international reporting, including the chart of accounts and standard cost methodology.
  • Manage external implementation consultants and draw on business-as-usual colleagues for expert insight, and support testing, user acceptance testing, cutover and post go-live stabilization.

The experience we are looking for

Professional background and qualifications
  • Qualified accountant (CPA, CA or equivalent), or equivalent experience, with a strong background in cost accounting, inventory and supply chain finance.
  • 5 to 8 years of experience across cost and inventory accounting, ideally within a manufacturing or consumer goods environment.
  • Deep, hands-on knowledge of standard costing, manufacturing variances, inventory valuation and provisioning.
  • Proven experience contributing to or leading an ERP implementation, ideally Microsoft Dynamics 365, across cost and inventory.
  • Strong understanding of cost of goods sold, margin analysis and the link between operations and financial results.
  • Experience supervising or leading teams and managing external delivery partners.
  • FMCG, Client or manufacturing experience is highly desirable; private equity exposure is an advantage.
  • Strong Excel skills, with Power BI an advantage; formal project management credentials (for example PMP or PRINCE2) are a nice to have.

The skills for success

Cost accounting, standard costing, manufacturing variances, inventory accounting and valuation, freight and landed cost, inventory provisioning (excess, markdown and obsolescence), cost of goods sold and margin, ERP implementation (Microsoft Dynamics 365), stakeholder management, and team leadership.

Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position is between $54.00-61.00 per hour.
