    Description

    MAU is hiring a Supply Chain Supervisor for our client in Duncan, SC. As a Supply Chain Supervisor, you will oversee shipping and receiving operations, manage logistics personnel, maintain inventory accuracy, and ensure efficient material flow and compliance with company standards. This is a contract opportunity with a 6-month assignment and the opportunity to convert to direct hire.

    Shift Information

    Required Education and Experience

    • Bachelors degree
    • 4-5+ years of progressive experience

    Preferred Education and Experience

    • Bachelors degree in a related field
    • 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience
    • 3 years of experience in supply chain, logistics, or a related field
    • German language skills
    • Knowledge of ISO-9000, IATF-16949, and ISO-14000 standards and requirements

    • Maintain current CPR, AED, and First Aid certifications and actively participate as a First Responder

    • Understand and comply with IATF-16949 and ISO-14001 requirements

    Essential Functions

    • Develop, implement, and maintain shipping and receiving processes, procedures, information flows, and documentation.
    • Manage the creation, handover, and storage of paperwork related to incoming and outgoing shipments.
    • Assist with staffing the shipping and receiving department, including overseeing third-party personnel and services.
    • Oversee shipping and receiving processes and equipment, including material handling equipment and Automated Storage and Retrieval Systems (ASRS).
    • Assist with or lead physical inventory activities.
    • Lead and initiate improvements to Shipping and Receiving Office functions to support departmental and company goals.
    • Coordinate inspections of incoming and outgoing goods to verify shipment accuracy, completeness, and condition.
    • Supervise the maintenance of records documenting damaged or defective items and discrepancies in shipment quantities and weights.
    • Supervise employees responsible for verifying and maintaining incoming and outgoing shipment records and preparing items for shipment.
    • Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, completeness, and acceptable shipment conditions.
    • Maintain computerized and hard-copy files and records related to shipping and receiving operations.
    • Supervise shipping and receiving administrative personnel.
    • Oversee the preparation of bills of lading, receiving documents, customs documentation, and other shipping and receiving paperwork.
    • Provide training, scheduling, and guidance to shipping and receiving administrative personnel.
    • Collaborate effectively with internal customers to support shipping, receiving, and logistics operations.
    • Monitor labor utilization to prevent excess hours, downtime, and unnecessary overtime.
    • Review and approve employee timecards in ADP eTime, including vacation, paid time off (PTO), and other timekeeping records.
    • Track employee development and provide training to ensure production employees are qualified for their assigned positions and meet current qualification requirements.
    • Manage employee performance through coaching, corrective counseling, disciplinary actions, step progressions, and performance reviews.
    • Complete and submit required employee performance documentation in accordance with company procedures.
    • Foster positive working relationships and proactively address performance concerns, employee complaints, disciplinary matters, and other employee relations issues.
    • Supervise Assembly Operators, Logistics Operators, Logistics Team Leads, and the Senior Supply Chain Clerk - Shipping and Receiving.
    • Perform other duties related to the Supply Chain Supervisor position.

    Working Conditions

    • Work in an office environment with regular exposure to the manufacturing floor.
    • This position is not eligible for remote or hybrid work.
