    Our client, a growing manufacturing company in Westlake, is seeking a Supply Chain Specialist to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build or grow their career in procurement, purchasing, inventory management, and supply chain operations.

    The Supply Chain Specialist will help turn project requirements into actionable purchase orders, coordinate with suppliers, monitor inventory levels, and ensure materials are available when needed to support production and customer fulfillment.

    Key Responsibilities
    • Convert project requirements into accurate purchase orders following established processes.
    • Determine the appropriate location for fulfilling orders and coordinate purchasing or inventory transfers as needed.
    • Place and manage purchase orders for assigned materials and components.
    • Communicate with suppliers to confirm orders, lead times, delivery dates, and order status.
    • Monitor purchase orders and follow up on outstanding or delayed orders to support production and fulfillment timelines.
    • Maintain inventory reorder points and replenishment quantities based on established guidelines.
    • Monitor inventory levels and identify potential shortages, excess inventory, or changing demand trends.
    • Recommend purchasing adjustments based on inventory needs and demand.
    • Partner with inventory, production, warehouse, and project management teams to resolve supply and fulfillment issues.
    • Maintain accurate purchasing and inventory information within the ERP system.
    • Assist with supplier performance reviews by compiling order history, lead-time, and performance information.
    • Troubleshoot routine purchasing and inventory issues and escalate more complex concerns when appropriate.
    • Identify opportunities to improve purchasing, inventory, and supply chain processes.
    Qualifications
    • 1–2 years of experience in purchasing, procurement, supply chain, inventory, or a related field, OR a degree in supply chain, business, operations, or a related discipline.
    • Manufacturing, distribution, purchasing, or inventory experience is a plus.
    • Understanding of basic inventory concepts such as reorder points, safety stock, and replenishment.
    • Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data.
    • Experience with an ERP system is preferred.
    • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Comfortable communicating directly with suppliers by phone and email.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining accuracy.
    • Strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn.
    What You'll Do Day-to-Day
    This is a hands-on supply chain role where you will work closely with suppliers, purchasing, inventory, production, warehouse, and project management teams. You'll play an important role in making sure the right materials are ordered, available, and delivered when needed.

    This position is well-suited for someone who enjoys working with numbers and data, solving problems, communicating with people, and keeping processes organized.
    Schedule & Work Environment
    • Full-time, on-site position in Westlake, Ohio
    • Monday–Friday, 8: 00 AM–5: 00 PM
    • One-hour lunch
    • Occasional additional hours may be required based on business needs
    • Combination of computer/desk work and activity throughout the facility
    • Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and move throughout the facility, including standing, walking, bending, kneeling, and climbing
