Description
Our client, a Truck and Engine Manufacturing company, is looking for a Supply Chain Process Engineer for their San Antonio, TX location.
Responsibilities:
Support the planning and implementation of Supply Chain projects related to the 2nd Shift launch.
Develop external warehouse layouts, material flow, storage, receiving, replenishment, and operational processes.
Define and procure material handling equipment and infrastructure required for the new warehouse.
Coordinate vendors, equipment installation, commissioning, and project implementation.
Coordinate with Transportation to establish receiving windows, delivery frequency, and material flow requirements.
Coordinate with Facilities and IT on building infrastructure, hardware, and operational readiness.
Support evaluation and implementation of required ERP/Warehouse system changes.
Support Kitting Platform expansion, including layouts, material presentation, equipment, and installation.
Perform capacity, material flow, space utilization, and process analysis.
Develop project schedules, status reports, action plans, and implementation documentation.
Support project launches, shutdown activities, and production ramp-up as required.
Packaging (Repacking): Develop and implement standardized repacking processes, including packaging requirements, pack quantities, material presentation, workspace/equipment needs, and process optimization.Coordination with Process areas, Procurement, Quality, Transportation, and suppliers.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Logistics Engineering preferred, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering or related field.
3+ years of Industrial, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain Engineering experience.
Experience with warehouse operations, material flow, kitting, and material handling equipment.
AutoCAD and Microsoft Excel experience.
Experience coordinating vendors and equipment installations.
Knowledge of ERP/WMS processes preferred.
Strong project management, analytical, and cross-functional communication skills.
