Supply Chain Planner

Location: Amsterdam, NY - Hybrid work schedule after training!
Hours: M-F, 8am-5pm
Salary:
Junior-level Candidates (2-5 years): $70,000-$80,000
Senior-level Candidates (5+ years): $80,000-$110,000

A well-established manufacturer in the Amsterdam area is seeking a Supply Chain Planner to join its growing planning team. This is a great opportunity for someone with experience in supply planning, demand planning, materials planning, or a related area who enjoys working cross-functionally and using data to drive planning decisions.

In this role, you’ll help ensure the right materials are available at the right time to support production. You’ll work closely with purchasing, suppliers, manufacturing, logistics, quality, and scheduling teams while managing forecasts, inventory, material flow, and supplier requirements.

What you’ll do:

  • Analyze material requirements and provide forecasts to suppliers
  • Manage inventory levels and material flow to support production
  • Determine order quantities and monitor purchase orders
  • Coordinate material movements between suppliers, warehouses, and manufacturing
  • Partner with purchasing, scheduling, operations, logistics, and quality teams
  • Monitor inventory, including excess and aging materials
  • Troubleshoot supply and planning issues and help identify root causes
  • Maintain planning information in SAP/ERP systems
  • Support S&OP, supply reviews, long-range planning, and other planning initiatives
  • Participate in process improvement and cost-saving opportunities

What we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, Logistics, Math/Statistics, or a related field; equivalent related experience may be considered
  • Experience in supply planning, materials planning, production planning, materials expediting, or a related area
  • SAP or other ERP experience
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
  • Ability to manage changing priorities and work with a sense of urgency
  • Manufacturing experience
