    Job Description:

    Overview
    Support position to plan, organize and control Supply Chain operations (Planning/Scheduling, Procurement, Packaging/Warehousing and Materials Controls), optimizing utilization of HCP s equipment, materials and Client to provide premium customer service.

    This position will include a varying level of project work. Expect to participate in cross-functional teams within the plant and Client to enhance performance in areas such as manufacturing efficiency, supply chain operations and customer service.


    Day-to-Day Responsibilities

    • Use strong system skills, analytical abilities and business knowledge to examine the effectiveness of manufacturing and Supply Chain operations and communicate conclusions; determine Product of improvement projects and initiate/lead them as necessary; develop reports and analysis for continuous improvement

    • New system implementation projects and initiatives within the Supply Chain department

    • Support packaging and warehouse activities, including process improvements in shipping and receiving, optimizing warehouse storage solutions, and improving packaging efficiencies

    • Create, modify, improve and support business reports and queries for Operations, Supply Chain, Finance and other functional groups

    • Responsible for performing work in a safe manner and maintaining a safe work environment; ensure personal safety and the safety of others at the facility; observe safe work practices and proactively report unsafe conditions

    • Analyze internal and external processes (benchmarking) to maximize efficiency of function and systems


    Qualifications

    Required Education

    • High School Diploma (minimum required for consideration)


    Required Skills

    • Proven analytical and project management skills

    • Strong written and verbal communication skills

    • Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills

    • Ability to multi-task; effectively prioritize and manage projects as well as day-to-day responsibilities

    • Strong interpersonal skills with ability to interact across all functions (engineering, Supply Chain, etc.) and all organizational levels

    • Self-motivated with positive can-do attitude and strong work ethic

    • Ability to use Microsoft Office applications (Excel and Access)

    • Willing to work 6AM 2PM (hours may change based on business needs)


    Desired Skills

    • 2 5 years experience in supply chain; degree in supply chain or APICS certification preferred

    • Lean and/or Six Sigma/Performance Excellence training or certification; Green Belt certification preferred

    • Understanding of Cable Products, Materials and Manufacturing processes

    • Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; SAP experience preferred

    • Ability to work in both autonomous and team environments

    • Ability to champion change and embrace flexibility

    • Demonstrated drive and commitment within the organization
