Supply Chain Engineering Co-op Intern

The Supply Chain Engineering Co-op Intern will assist with internal and external business needs and ensure they are meeting and/or exceeding requirements.
Responsibilities:As an Engineering Intern, you will be a full member of the Distribution Engineering team, bridging the gap between theoretical data and physical operations. You will spend time on the warehouse floor to understand the "who" and "why" of the supply chain, using those insights to drive measurable improvements in productivity.
Qualifications: Participate in warehouse operations on a weekly basis, in order to learn
about the processes and equipment utilized in a distribution environment.
Increase knowledge of Distribution operations through weekly warehouse
work, site visits, and attendance at meetings and training during the
period.
Work as a full member of the distribution engineering team to fulfill the
business goals
Use Workstudy to complete time studies of various warehouse processes
Learn and use PowerBI for analysis and reporting to support CI
Analyze available Labor Management System (LMS) data to identify
productivity gaps and collaborate with Operations to implement process
changes
Participate in Lean ONE Events and assist the site Lean champion in
sustaining results
Under the guidance of your supervisor, take ownership of a CI project.
Follow the DMAIC process and present findings and solutions to Ops and
Engineering.
Assist with the development and documentation of Standard Operating
Procedures for the NFI Distribution Operation
Update existing AutoCAD drawings of designated sites, ensuring that they
accurately reflect the current operational setup of the site
Ability to integrate generative AI tools, specifically Gemini, to drive creative
solutions and automate routine tasks
Experience, Education, and Training:
Current Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s degree, preferably with
Industrial Engineering Major.
Open to current Masters candidate pursuing an Industrial Engineering
major
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills
Experience with MS Office Applications (Outlook, Word and Excel)
Experience with AutoCAD or similar software preferred
