    Description

    Job Summary
The Supply Chain Engineer bridges the gap between design engineering, procurement, and external suppliers.
The primary function is supporting technical execution, quality compliance, and on-time delivery of critical
aerospace hardware, raw materials, and subassemblies. You will lead supplier technical assessments,
spearhead continuous improvement initiatives, negotiate with suppliers for cost and delivery, and mitigate

    Responsibilities
    1. Drive technical sourcing, qualification, and onboarding processes for critical suppliers manufacturing
    precision aerospace components and structures.
    2. Collaborate with internal Design and Manufacturing Engineering teams to integrate Design for
Manufacturability (DfM) and Design for Supply Chain (DfSC) principles early in the product development
    lifecycle.
    3. Evaluate supplier capacity, technical capabilities, and lead times using structured Key Performance
Indicators (KPIs) to identify bottlenecks and implement "return-to-green" action plans.
    4. Negotiate cost and leadtime with suppliers leveraging buying volumes, strategic longterm agreements, and
other techniques to ensure best overall value in material procurement.
    5. Manage supplier deviation requests, non-conformance routing, and root-cause investigations. Support the
enforcement of aerospace quality standards like AS9100 and ISO 9001.
    6. Travel to domestic and international to supplier facilities to conduct business capability audits, oversee
high-risk manufacturing processes, and resolve critical production issues.

    Skills Experience
    Required:
•Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain
Management, or a related technical discipline.
•Experience - 3+ years of direct engineering experience within the aerospace, defense, or high-reliability
    manufacturing sectors.
•Strong understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes (e.g., CNC machining, precision fabrication,
composites, special processing) and document management systems.
•Hands-on experience navigating and optimizing ERP/MRP software systems for demand planning and
    inventory control.
•Demonstrated expertise in Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) methodologies, variable data analysis, and
    statistical process control.
•Willingness to travel up to 25–30% to visit supplier sites and manufacturing facilities
•US Citizen or US Person with ability to obtain a US Government Security Clearance.
•Familiarity with aerospace compliance requirements, including Classified, CUI, DFAR, ITAR and EAR
    regulations.

    Preferred:
•Master’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, or Business Administration.
•Certification in Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or Black Belt).
•Active U.S. Government Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain one (highly preferred for defense
    programs).
