Description

Our client, a manufacturing company based in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, is hiring a Supply Chain Analyst to support procurement planning, inventory management, and logistics coordination across its production facilities. This role works closely with purchasing, warehouse, and production teams to ensure materials and components are available when needed while controlling costs.

The Supply Chain Analyst will analyze demand forecasts, monitor supplier performance, and identify opportunities to reduce lead times and inventory carrying costs. This position requires strong analytical skills and comfort working with ERP systems and spreadsheet-based modeling to support data-driven decisions.

This is a full-time, on-site position reporting to the Supply Chain Manager. The company offers a stable manufacturing environment with opportunities to take on additional responsibility as the department grows.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze demand forecasts and translate them into procurement and production plans
  • Monitor supplier performance and lead times to prevent material shortages
  • Track inventory levels and recommend adjustments to reduce carrying costs
  • Coordinate with purchasing to place and expedite purchase orders as needed
  • Prepare reports on supply chain KPIs for management review
  • Identify process improvements across procurement, warehousing, and logistics
  • Support supplier negotiations by providing cost and performance data
  • Maintain accurate data in the ERP system for materials and inventory

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business, or related field
  • 5 or more years of experience in supply chain, procurement, or logistics roles
  • Experience working with ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle
  • Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and data modeling
  • Familiarity with inventory management and forecasting methods
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong communication skills for cross-department coordination
  • APICS or CPSM certification preferred but not required
