Description

70+-year-old (and growing!) industrial components engineering & manufacturing company has an IMMEDIATE opening for a Supplier Quality Engineer.

Duties:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain supplier quality assurance processes
  • Analyze quality performance data, conduct regular supplier audits, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and supplier performance
  • Utilize process automation and data management tools (Power BI, Power Automate) to modernize quality workflows, improve data visibility, and streamline supply chain management
  • Ensure products and materials from external suppliers meet the company’s quality standards
  • Certify compliance with industry standards and regulations while contributing to the delivery of high-quality products to customers
  • Communicate daily with suppliers (verbal and via email)
  • Reviewing mechanical blueprints
  • On occasion, support the quality department with measurements/inspections, creating inspection sheets/quality plans, etc.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline preferred (Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, etc.)
  • 1+ year of experience developing, implementing, and coordinating quality plans
  • Experience developing and implementing supplier quality processes
  • Recent experience or training with data analysis tools and business intelligence platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar
  • Familiarity with workflow automation platforms such as Power Automate, Zapier, or similar, a plus
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints
  • Familiarity working with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software a plus
  • Strong Microsoft Excel experience
  • Experience working in a low volume, high mix environment a plus
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally on occasion
  • Ability to pass a drug test

Salary: $80-105K
