Supplier Quality Engineer

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, you"ll play a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of components used in advanced therapies that support patients. In this highly visible role, you"ll partner with suppliers, engineering teams, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive supplier excellence, support new product development, and ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards. What You"ll Do

  • Lead supplier qualification, selection, and performance management activities
  • Partner with suppliers to drive quality improvements and resolve manufacturing or component issues
  • Support New Product Development (NPD) projects by ensuring suppliers and components meet quality and regulatory requirements
  • Conduct supplier audits and assessments to ensure compliance with GMP and quality system standards
  • Collaborate with Engineering teams to develop component qualification plans, acceptance criteria, and inspection strategies
  • Review specifications, validation data, and quality documentation to support component approvals
  • Drive root cause investigations and corrective actions related to supplier quality issues
  • Develop and maintain strong supplier relationships while influencing continuous improvement initiatives
  • Support Approved Supplier List (ASL) management and supplier quality programs
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute technical leadership across projects and teams

What We"re Looking For

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor"s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related technical field
  • 4+ years of experience in Supplier Quality, Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related function
  • Experience working directly with suppliers on qualification, auditing, performance monitoring, and issue resolution
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience working in a regulated industry such as medical device, pharmaceutical, aerospace, automotive, or similar manufacturing environments

Preferred Qualifications

  • Medical device industry experience
  • Knowledge of GMP, FDA, ISO 13485, or related quality system requirements
  • Experience with APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and supplier development activities
  • Experience supporting New Product Development (NPD) programs
  • Auditing experience, including supplier quality audits
  • Knowledge of validation, component qualification, and receiving inspection processes

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $65.00/hr.
