Pay Range: $60-$65/hr on w2
We are seeking an experienced Supplier Quality Engineer, Mechanical to support quality programs for hyperscale data center infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in supplier quality, manufacturing, quality assessments, root cause analysis, and factory testing, with expertise in mechanical equipment such as cooling towers, chillers, air handling units, pumps, and generator sets.
Manage supplier onboarding, qualification, and manufacturing site quality assessments.
Lead root cause analysis using 8D, 5D, and 2D methodologies and drive corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to closure.
Develop and maintain Quality Control Plans (QCP), PFMEAs, Work Instructions, and Manufacturing Product Quality Specifications (MPQS).
Conduct supplier quality audits, virtual and onsite assessments, factory acceptance tests (FAT), and factory witness tests (FWT).
Manage quality issues and workflows using Buganizer, Autodesk Construction Cloud/BIM 360, and CxAlloy.
Coordinate third-party inspections, verify inspection checklists, and track pass/fail results and closure targets.
Maintain quality dashboards, KPIs, and weekly/monthly status reports while facilitating supplier and business reviews.
5+ years of experience in Supplier Quality Engineering or Quality Engineering within a manufacturing environment.
Hands-on experience with APQP, PFMEA, 8D, SPC, and Lean Six Sigma.
Experience conducting supplier audits, quality assessments, and factory acceptance/witness testing.
Proficiency with SAP, Minitab, or other SPC/quality software.
Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to work directly with suppliers and senior engineering teams.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or a related engineering field.
Prior experience supporting mechanical equipment, data centers, mission-critical infrastructure, heavy equipment, automotive, or industrial manufacturing is preferred. Experience with HVAC systems, cooling towers, chillers, air handling units, pumps, or generator sets is highly valuable. ASQ CQE, ISO 9001 Lead Auditor, or Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification and experience with commissioning platforms such as CxAlloy or Autodesk Construction Cloud are preferred.
