Supplier Quality Engineer – machine shop (0-7 years of experience)

60+ year-old (and growing!) machined components engineering & manufacturing company has an IMMEDIATE opening for a Supplier Quality Engineer.

Duties:

• Develop, implement, and maintain supplier quality assurance processes within a high-mix, low-volume machining environment
• Analyze quality performance data, conduct regular supplier audits, and lead continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and supplier performance
• Ensure products and materials from external suppliers meet the company’s quality standards
• Certify compliance with industry standards and regulations while contributing to the delivery of high-quality products to customers
• Communicate daily with suppliers (verbal and via email)
• Reviewing mechanical blueprints
• On occasion, support the quality department with measurements/inspections, creating inspection sheets/quality plans, etc.
• Help utilize process automation and data management tools (Power BI, Power Automate) to modernize quality workflows, improve data visibility, and streamline supply chain management

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in a technical discipline preferred (Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, etc.)
• 0-7 years of post-graduate experience
• Experience working in a machine shop / manufacturing environment (will consider applicable internship experience)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to read blueprints
• Experience developing, implementing, and coordinating supplier quality processes a plus
• Experience or training with data analysis and tools such as Power BI, Power Automate, Tableau, or similar, a plus
• Familiarity working with Statistical Process Control (SPC) software a plus
• Strong Microsoft Excel experience
• Ability to pass a drug test
• Authorized to work in the US without sponsorship

Salary: $75-100K
