The Opportunity 

This position works out of our Woodridge site in St. Paul, MN location in the Structural Heart Division.

Structural Heart Business Mission: Why We Exist

Our business purpose is to restore health and improve quality of life by designing and providing device and management solutions for treating structural heart disease.

As a Supplier QualityEngineer IIyou will lead efforts to enhance and correct the quality of components from external suppliers. Establishes acceptance criteria for materials. Tracks supplier performance to enforce corrective actions, address manufacturing yield issues, and resolve field failures. Coordinates supplier-initiated changes with cross-functional teams.

WhatYou’ll Work On

- Work closely with external suppliers to gaininsightsinto their manufacturing processes and fulfill all required qualifications. 

- Work together with manufacturing engineers to resolve production-related challenges.  

-Work with cross-functional teams to assess and implement supplier changes. 

-Generates andmaintainsincoming inspection procedures. 

-Develops and/orsourcesinspection tools and equipment. 

-Work with internal/external suppliers investigating material issues including implementing corrective actions 

-Generate test protocols,monitortesting, issue qualification testreportsand approve components for use in products. 

-Analyzes incoming material defects. 

-Communicates issues to suppliers. 

-Investigatesfield failures related to supplier materials. 

-Investigate and develop corrective action plans for internal and external issues as needed.

-Implement and drive corrective actions accordingly. 

-Support Audits (internal/external) 

-Cultivates a wide range of internal networks and begins to develop an extensive external network of resources tofacilitatecompletion of tasks. 

-Oversee project team(s) with a moderate scope 

-Influence exerted at peer level and occasionally at first levels of management. 

-Plans, organizes, and prioritizesowndaily work routine to meetestablishedschedule. 

-Exercisesauthority and judgment within defined limits to determineappropriate action. 

QUALIFICATIONS

Education

Bachelors Degree (± 16 years) - Related field. 

Masters Degree (± 18 years) - Preferred. 

Experience/Background

Minimum2 years of related experience.

2-5 years of related work experience in technical or other QA related position 

2-5 years preferred experience in medicaldeviceor similar regulated industry. 

-Working technical knowledge and application of concepts,practicesand procedures.  

-General understanding of business unit/group function.  

-Will perform this job in a quality system environment.  

-Failure to adequately perform tasks can result in noncompliance with governmental regulations. 

-Works on problems of moderate scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review of identifiable factors.  

-Exercisesjudgment within defined procedures and practices to determine appropriate action.  

Has a broad knowledge of technical alternatives and an understanding of their impact on the systems environment.

The base pay for this position is

$61,300.00 – $122,700.00
