Supplier Qualification and MRB Quality Engineer – Composites

What You’ll Tackle
- Represent Quality on cross-functional teams, ensuring contractual obligations and QMS requirements are embedded in proposals, processes, and documents.
- Clarify and communicate quality requirements to engineering, manufacturing, suppliers, and internal stakeholders.
- Build quality metrics and draft program quality plans, including design and production certification plans for small programs, to satisfy company, customer, contractual, and regulatory standards.
- Execute supplier capability assessments and process validations to support supplier selection and qualification.
- Support manufacturing and test readiness via process analysis, testing, inspections, and audits.
- Analyze nonconformance trends and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.
- Lead MRB activities to evaluate, document, and disposition nonconformances in accordance with defined procedures.
- Recommend, develop, and deploy effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Advance continuous improvement that boosts product quality, process efficiency, throughput, and customer satisfaction.
- Partner with engineering, manufacturing, operations, suppliers, and other groups to resolve quality issues and strengthen processes.
- Maintain complete and accurate quality records, documentation, metrics, and data.
- Ensure processes and documentation stay aligned with customer, contractual, regulatory, and company requirements.
- Promote a culture grounded in quality, accountability, continuous improvement, and adherence to procedures.
- Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe; comply with all safety practices and PPE usage.
What You Bring
- 3+ years in quality engineering or an equivalent quality role.
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline (Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, or related) preferred; or 5+ years of relevant quality/engineering experience in lieu of a degree.
- Strong preference for experience in composites manufacturing.
- Working knowledge of AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 preferred.
- Depth in nonconformance management, corrective actions, process validation, audits, and quality metrics.
- Analytical problem-solver skilled in root cause and corrective action planning.
- Professional English communication skills, written and verbal.
- Comfort working across functions and influencing without authority.
- Organized, detail-focused, and able to prioritize independently with minimal oversight.
- Commitment to safety, housekeeping, and proper PPE use.
How You Work
- Operate with minimal oversight from the Quality Manager or a Quality Engineer III while staying closely aligned to business priorities.
