POSITION SUMMARY
Assist the Supplier Development Team in resolving chronic shortages, expediting work transfers, and achieving strategic deflation. Utilizes manufacturing processing and machining knowledge to ensure we utilize the most efficient manufacturing methods available.
This role is responsible for supporting the Division Supplier Development Team with extensive manufacturing knowledge and experience. Position will directly report to the Division or Group Supplier Development Manager. Will interact with cross-functional high-performance teams, including operational engineering, quality control, marketing, lean program management, and finance.
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Work collaboratively with division supplier development manager and participate within an HPT to resolve chronic shortages within the supply base. • Engage with the supply base and HPT to develop part families, driving manufacturing efficiency. • Support team efforts to develop strategic deflation strategies and assist with the execution of the strategy. • Represent the division and collaborate with peers at other divisions and group. • Proactively work with the Supply Chain Team to seek out continuous improvement opportunities. • Demonstrate strong leadership skills through engaging suppliers and peers to achieve common goals. • Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 25-50% of the time. • Collaborates to establish preferred supplier selection criteria based on evaluations of supplier price, quality, delivery, certifications, and compliance with governmental procurement regulations. • Works with suppliers to develop and manage continuous improvement programs addressing quality, delivery, service, as well as price. • Develop relationships with new and existing suppliers to foster partnership.
QUALIFICATIONS
• B.A./B.S. degree in a related technical or business discipline • 10 or more years of manufacturing experience and on-the-job training • Experience with tooling selection, quality inspection, castings, forgings, and special processing • 10+ years of Aerospace Machining, Casting, and Special Processing experience desired • Demonstrated teamwork and team-building skills in producing results and meeting organizational objectives • Capable of assessing and developing individual and team skills and capabilities • Able to create and maintain enthusiasm for new and challenging goals • Serve as a role model by promoting new ideas and positive change • Thorough understanding of production technology and/or specialty support areas, including broad knowledge of manufacturing technology trends

COMPETITIVE COMPENSATION
Pay Range: $104,400 to $174,150 annually Participation in Annual Incentive Program Benefit & Retirement Plans
