The Supplier Delivery Development (SDD) Manager is responsible for leading supplier delivery performance improvement and governance across the supply base. This role focuses on driving sustainable supplier discipline, resolving chronic delivery issues, and preventing recurring supply disruptions. The SDD Manager partners closely with Supplier Delivery Operations (SDO), Purchasing, Manufacturing Plants, Engineering, and Quality to support stable and reliable production.
This position provides leadership to Supplier Delivery Development supervisors and specialists and operates at a strategic level, distinct from daily expediting activities.
Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:
Lead supplier delivery development strategy to drive long‑term delivery performance improvement
Own governance of supplier delivery discipline, including corrective action and recovery plans
Drive root cause analysis and corrective action with suppliers for chronic delivery issues
Partner with cross‑functional teams to align supplier improvements with manufacturing needs
Monitor supplier delivery performance trends and identify systemic risks
Provide leadership, coaching, and development for SDD supervisors and specialists
Support supplier performance reviews, escalations, and executive updates
Ensure consistent application of supplier delivery standards and processes
Contribute to continuous improvement of supplier management tools, reporting, and KPIs
Some travel may be required to supplier or plant locations

Basic Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or related field
Minimum of 10 years of experience in supply chain, supplier delivery, or manufacturing operations
Experience leading teams and managing performance in a fast‑paced environment
Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree or equivalent experience
Experience working directly with automotive suppliers
Demonstrated success driving supplier performance improvement initiatives
