The Shipping Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily work activities of the Shipping Team. Ensure that Inventory is stored safely, accurately and securely. Support production goals through timely and accurate delivery to production supply areas. Maintain best practices for accurate inventory results. Promote the development of team members through cross-training, education and mentoring. Model the company vision and values in all interactions with team members. Accurately measure and report metrics in order to meet SQDC goals and objectives.
Job Responsibilities

- Provide supervision, work direction and training coordination to shipping & receiving staff
- Responsible for overseeing warehousing, shipping, receiving, and handling of materials for AEC SLC Operations
- Manage shipping methods to reduce freight costs
- Prepare the necessary documents to ship finished goods, coordinating with QA and accounting personnel
- Coordinate freight shipments and prepare shipping documentation, including export paperwork
- Perform all relevant SAP transactions
- Responsible for the integrity and accuracy of incoming/outgoing shipments Responsible for inventory control accuracy for all warehouse/materials controlled areas Responsible for monthly finished goods and raw material inventory counts
- Monitor and control production reports to ensure accurate data is entered into inventory
- Loading and unloading freight vehicles Ensure availability of shipping supplies Package goods for shipment as required
- Drive continuous improvements in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost Observe, support & contribute to Company safety programs, policies & initiatives Execute employee performance management consistent with Company policy Interact and coordinate with plant logistics systems and activities, including Production, Inventory Control, Procurement, Quality and Customer Service
Supervisory responsibility:
Supervisors are responsible for overseeing their work group Including but not limited to: formal evaluations/performance management as set out by the organization, recruitment and developing group cohesion.
