    Description

    ASRC Agile Decision Sciences is a premier provider of systems engineering, software engineering, system integration and project management services for real-time, mission-critical defense systems. We are currently seeking a highly motivated Engineering Supervisor to join our SSDS Combat Weapons team. This individual should have engineering experience to collaborate and help lead a group of high performing agile engineering teams. This is a full-time position located in Moorestown, NJ.Responsibilities:Leadership and management responsibilities include:

    Carrying out the vision of the Sr. Engineering ManagerPlan and control functional teams and project finances through negotiation with project managers, business managers and functional managersAssimilating management information to write reports detailing variances from the performance measurement baselineDeveloping specific, actionable corrective action plans to overcome challengesSupport risk and opportunity management on scoped tasks and provide inputs, including mitigation steps to the program and risk managerEffectively communicating operating philosophy, objectives, and expectations to staffEnsuring compliance with the terms of the customer statement of work (SOW)Developing/presenting formal presentations for the customer and internal managementAble to work with engineering team in helping to define and root cause technical issuesAssignment of work tasks, timecard approvals, providing performance reviews, career planning, and training development required for direct reportsConduct staffing and manpower planning to support current and anticipated projects, including interviewing and hiring personnel as requiredCoordinate staffing requirements with Sr. Engineering ManagerDefine, communicate, and coordinate staffing priorities as well as funding requirements with the appropriate project leadsUpdate agile user story statuses in Jira and engineering artifacts in ConfluenceWork to development and monitor measurable process and development activities

    Requirements:

    Bachelor's degree (in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, Physics, or related field) or equivalent related work experienceThis position requires the ability to obtain and maintain a government secret clearance, US Citizenship is required.This position requires the successful applicant to obtain and maintain the required security clearance or other authorization(s) within the necessary timeframe required by applicable contract(s).2-4 years' experience in leadership role or management of software development, maintenance, or support of large-scale software programsExperience developing software with Agile principlesAcademic or professional experience with Engineering ManagementUnderstanding of EVMS conceptsFamiliarity with JiraFamiliarity of process and software metricsFamiliarity Process Analytics
