Supervisor - Snowsports School

We're seeking someone who brings genuine enthusiasm to both instructing and managing people, and who can balance the operational demands of a fast-paced ski school with real care for the team. Assist with keeping the S nowsports S chool, lobby, kids' room, bathroom, kitchen area and outside learning area clean, organized and tidy.

Overview:

Brighton Resort is looking for a positive, engaging supervisor to help lead our Snowsports School team. We're seeking someone who brings genuine enthusiasm to both instructing and managing people, and who can balance the operational demands of a fast-paced ski school with real care for the team. Supervisors at Brighton work a hybrid weekly schedule that allows for instructing and supervising. Supervisor days will be limited to 1 to 2 days a week. Supervisor day will be 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Responsibilities:

• Engage with guests and staff in a friendly, welcoming, professional manner 

• Support and inspire staff by being kind, respectful and cooperative  

• Provide on-hill and off hill support to instructors daily and conducting clinics 

• Work with other team members to schedule, support and assist instructors on and off the snow 

• Assist with daily “morning meetings” along with other management team members 

• Organize and support multi-week programs when needed. 

• Contribute to creating and maintaining a culture of positivity, productivity, and professionalism in the Snowsports School 

• Learn and understand school software- Flaik 

• Other duties related to the daily operation of the Snowsports School  

• Be involved with training of staff indoors and on snow by leading clinics 

• Being open to feedback and changes when needed 

• Engaging with the staff indoors and on-snow 

• Assist with keeping the Snowsports School, lobby, kids' room, bathroom, kitchen area and outside learning area clean, organized and tidy. 

• Help support the goal of making Brighton a fun, rewarding supportive and inclusive workplace.  

• Assist instructors with scheduling and pay issues at the end of the day via Flaik 

• Actively providing on-snow support throughout the day 

• Support and promote the Boyne Resorts core values 

• Supervise lunch for our full-day kids group lessons 

• Other duties to help the snowsports school and resort 

Qualifications:

Qualifications: 

• 18+ years old 

• Positive attitude, kind, helpful, respectful and desire to learn 

• Proven track record of reliability, punctuality and ability to manage emotions effectively 

• Ability to stay calm while under pressure 

• Experience with customer service with excellent communication skills 

• Self-motivated and directed to work effectively 

• 2+ years of experience working with a Snowsports School  

• Current PSIA/AASI  Level 2  

• Advanced skiing or snowboarding skills 

• Emotional awareness skills  

• Experience with Flaik 

• Open mindset when learning new software and tasks 

• Ability to efficiently and effectively multi-task in a fast-paced environment 

• Flexible work schedule when needed 

• A growth mindset (an openness to learning and feedback)
