    Job Description:

    School Building Equity Team Leader - Postion for 26-27SY

    Team leaders are charged with leadership in the collaborative work of teacher teams, including data analysis, sharing best instructional practices, and monitoring progress toward team and school goals.

    The School-based Equity Team Leader(s) are responsible for:

    • Coordinating and managing the school-wide Equity Action Team, its meetings and team activities
    • Developing professional learning opportunities for school staff to grow cultural competence and anti-racist practices across all areas of the schools operations.
    • Providing resources and spaces for staff and students that centers on staff and students cultural awareness and racial identity.
    • Promoting social/cultural identity through hands-on experiences, increasing student voice and leadership, amplifying student voice and creating a forum for social justice.
    • Planning for and participating in Summer planning sessions
    • Participating in after-school leadership meetings as needed
    • Participating in school improvement planning
    • Performs other leadership duties as assigned by the building administrator.

    Qualifications and key attributes:

    • Preferred three years teaching experience
    • Evidence of significant student achievement results
    • Experience in team planning, cooperative learning, team teaching, and in a relevant leadership role desirable.
    • Working knowledge of data analysis principles, and of technologies used in instruction and assessment.
    • Ability to work effectively with principals, teachers, parents, and students.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

    Ideal candidates should be mission-driven, innovative, highly motivated, and possess excellent data knowledge and communication skills.

    Must possess appropriate CT certification and currently working at the Academy of Aerospace and Engineering. Teacher leadership experience preferred.
