Supervisor

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Supervisor to join our team at Oakwood Treatment Center. The ideal candidate will have a passion for supporting adolescents with behavioral health challenges and a commitment to improving their quality of life. In this role, you will be an integral part of a multidisciplinary team, providing direct care and support to residents as they work toward their personal growth and recovery goals.

  • Pay $17 per hour.
  • Oakwood Treatment Center is a drug-free workplace. All applicants are subject to a drug test as a condition of employment.
  • Required: High School Diploma or GED, Valid Driver's License and experience supervising a team.  Basic computer literacy is a MUST.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct staff personnel actions as warranted, including performance appraisals, disciplinary actions, positive reinforcements, interviewing, hiring and termination recommendations. 
  2. Participate in Treatment Team meetings when requested by the treatment coordinator. 
  3. Ensure that all standards and regulations are met. 
  4. Periodically monitor all shifts.  Ensure that integration of developmental and programmatic services occurs; ensure that objective training occurs and activity schedules are followed. 
  5. Monitor CS Notes, data collection and training in the residential setting. 
  6. Review shift reports on a daily basis. 
  7. Ensure the correction of deficiencies noted by internal or external audits or surveys. 
  8. Routinely assess the condition of homes, furnishings, grounds, and vehicles, and report all findings to appropriate persons. 
  9. Conduct monthly residential inspection of all homes and forward to the Facility Services Coordinator.
  10. Coordinate maintenance requests for each group home and forward to Facility Services Coordinator.
  11. Meet at least monthly with Paraprofessional staff. 
  12. Ensure that staff completes needed training. 
  13. Ensure prompt reporting and investigation of staff injuries. 
  14. Ensure adequate staff to population served ratio on all shifts. 
  15. Provide supervision and management of the On-Call Consultant Program. 
  16. Maintain On-Call status for all group homes as assigned by the RSM. 
  17. Facilitate / monitor group problem solving sessions (residential meeting). 
  18. Encourage / monitor population served adherence to NOVA Star Program. 
  19. Conduct NEO as needed to ensure new staff are abreast of rules, regulations, procedures, and guidelines in the Residential setting along with their responsibility as a Paraprofessional. 
  20. Bi-weekly review and approve time sheets for all staff in the residential setting.
  21. Ensures monitoring food and household supplies for quantity and expiration dates and ensures adequate quantities are on hand.
  22. Performs weekly grocery shopping as assigned by the RSM.
  23. Ensures that consumer’s belongings on hand are inventoried, adequate and appropriate. Reports consumer needs to the Treatment Coordinator.
  24. Supervises and directs the activities of assigned staff. 
  25. Participates in workshops, seminars, etc., pertinent to Residential Services Supervisor activities as approved by the RSM/Program Director. 
  26. Performs other Residential Services Supervisor activities as assigned by the RSM/Program Director

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or higher in psychology, social work, or a related field preferred. - Previous experience in a residential behavioral health setting is highly desirable. - Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with residents and subordinates from diverse backgrounds. - Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team, as well as independently when necessary. - Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail. - Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
