Supervisor, Production Training

EssentialJob Duties andResponsibilities: 

• Developsand overseescomprehensive trainingplanstailored to the needs of productionteam members.

• Implementstraining programs that ensure all production employees are proficient in their roles and understand company procedures and safety protocols.

• Regularly updatestraining materials to reflect changes in production processes and industry best practices.

• Providesongoing training and development opportunities for existing productionteam members, including refresher courses and skill enhancement programs.

• Utilizesa variety of training methods (e.g., hands-on training, workshops, e-learning) to cater to different learningneeds.

• Collaborates with L&D and HR to track and update training completions, records, and certifications.

• Assessesthe effectiveness of training programs through feedback and performance assessments.

• Monitorsand evaluatesthe performance ofthe teamto ensure they meet established standards and metrics.

• Identifiesareas for improvement and implementscorrective actions to enhancetrainingteamperformance and productivity.

• Worksclosely with the Production Manager and other supervisors to identify training needs and develop strategies to address them.

• Communicateseffectively with all levels ofproductionto ensure training goals are understood and achieved.

• Fostersa culture of continuous improvement and learning within the team.

• Maintainsaccurate records of training activities, attendance, and assessments.

• Preparesand submitsreports on training outcomes andteamperformance to management.

• Ensurescompliance with all company policies and regulatory requirements related to training and safety.

Education and Experience Requirements: 

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in aleador training role.Experience in developing and delivering training programs for productionteam members.Associate’s degree in manufacturing, training and development or related field preferred.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of production processes, equipment, and safety protocols.

• Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and motivatea team.

• Proven ability to develop effective training materials and programs.

• Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to assess training needs and implement effective solutions.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.

Work Environment:

• This position typically operates in a production or manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to loud noises, heavy machinery, and varying temperatures.

• The role may require standing for extended periods and the ability to lift and move training materials or equipment.

• Flexibility to work different shifts, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate training schedules.

• This role may require occasional travel to other production facilities or training locations.
