Your Contribution:
- Design glass melting equipment in SolidWorks.
- Analyze equipment performance through flow, heat transfer, and fatigue modeling software.
- Develop 2D drawings, BOM list, and Job Instruction Documents.
- Act as business liaison to Germany central services as it pertains to platinum.
- Serve as platinum legal representative for government and financial auditors.
- Order raw earth materials including but not limited to Platinum and Iridium.
- Order refractory and insulation materials.
- Order CNC tools and various mold making equipment.
- Organize shop storage areas utilizing SAP.
- Forecast platinum usage consumption and recycling plan.
- Supervise union workforce. Work force includes welders, masons, and CNC machine operators.
- Attend daily melting direction setting meetings.
- Help troubleshoot melting issues as it pertains to melting equipment fabrication and maintenance.
- Assist technicians during equipment installations through start-up qualifications.
- Capable of performing FAI (First Article Inspections) on melting equipment.
- Knowledgeable of CoCs (Certificates of Conformance) and how they apply to the equipment in the department.
Your Profile:
- Bachelor of Science degree in one of the following technical areas: Mechanical Engineering, Material Sciences, Welding Engineering.
- If lesser degrees, equivalent combination of education and 7 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in SolidWorks design and modeling to include:
- Knowledgeable of FEA analysis.
- 2D drawing and assembly creation.
- BOM creation.
- Knowledgeable of design tolerancing.
- Minimum of 3 years of welding technology experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of refractory cutting, molding, and applications experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of CNC programming and/or tool and die experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of supervisory leadership experience preferred.
- Advanced knowledge of MS Office products.
- Basic knowledge of SAP and/or Oracle Software.
