Supervisor - Physician Referral

The Physician Referral Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Physician Referral Department, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient referral management, and accurate scheduling assistance for patients seeking physician referrals and appointments. The Supervisor responds to escalated patient concerns, supports inbound and outbound referral activities as needed, and oversees online appointment requests and same-day scheduling processes.

Position Summary: 

The Physician Referral Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Physician Referral Department, ensuring exceptional customer service, efficient referral management, and accurate scheduling assistance for patients seeking physician referrals and appointments. This role supervises referral staff, manages workflow, coordinates training and development activities, monitors productivity and quality standards, and ensures compliance with organizational policies and HIPAA regulations. 
The Supervisor responds to escalated patient concerns, supports inbound and outbound referral activities as needed, and oversees online appointment requests and same-day scheduling processes. This position is responsible for coordinating community outreach events and physician referral events, to increase awareness of St. Luke's services and physician network. Responsible for promoting teamwork with all members of the healthcare team. Performs duties in a manner consistent with St. Luke’s mission and values. 

 

Education, Experience, & Licensing Requirements:   

Education: High School Diploma or GED required.  

Experience: 2 years management experience required, 2 years healthcare experience required.
