Overview:

The Pharmacist Supervisor will be responsible for services, including but not limited to processing non-commercial prescriptions for all Free Product Programs to patients. The Pharmacist supervisor will assist in overseeing daily operations of the pharmacy including overseeing the technicians’ daily activities. The Pharmacist supervisor will assist in all pharmacy services including quality assurance and clinical monitoring activities. The pharmacist supervisor is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of pharmacists within ARx Patient Solutions Pharmacy. The Pharmacist supervisor will practice under the rules and regulations of the Kansas State Board of Pharmacy and Federal Pharmacy law.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervises daily pharmacists’ tasks and performance levels applying operating discipline across both front end and fulfillment.
  • Monitors pharmacy workflow queues and phone service levels
  • Creates pharmacist schedule and schedule adherence.
  • Identify, document and report safety information.
  • Manages and reallocates resources intraday to maintain workload and service level agreements.
  • Provides coaching and performance feedback as needed.
  • Provides communication via team huddles and/or emails to cover process opportunities and changes.
  • Completes 1 on 1’s to evaluate workload, performance, and correction.
  • Completes annual performance review of strengths and opportunities for improvement.
  • Maintains team morale and employee retention by serving as point of contact for questions and concerns.
  • Resolves challenges, conflicts, and grievances in partnership with HR as needed.
  • Participates in interviewing and hiring new pharmacists and completes training for pharmacists and pharmacy staff members.
  • Maintains commitment to quality and efficiency by review and ownership of processes and procedures.
  • Identify risks and opportunities for process and procedure changes.
  • Studies and standardizes procedures to improve efficiency of direct reports.
  • Oversee dispensing of free products.
  • Receive physician prescription orders and evaluate for clinical appropriateness and validity according to Kansas State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Oversee pharmacy technicians.
  • Communicate with physicians’ offices, patients and call center staff.
  • Provide patient counseling, education and monitoring for Rx product and provide quality patient care.
  • Adhere to On-call Policy and complete on-call duties outside of business hours as required.
  • Special projects as business needs require.
  • Identify and report adverse events pursuant to program requirements.
  • Identify, document, and report safety information.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy or Pharm D degree
  • Licensure required: Must be a licensed pharmacist with the Kansas Board of Pharmacy.
  • 2-4 years of Retail, Mail or Specialty Pharmacy experience, preferred
  • Computer skills preferred: Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Office, Teams)
Pay Range: USD $123,900.00 - USD $154,875.00 /Hr.
