    Requirements to be successful in this position:

    Subject matter expert in one or more areas of the operationAbility to perform basic maintenanceBasic computer skillsCan work independently with minimal supervisionPositive attitude and a good team memberMust pass a pre-employment physical, reference checks, drug screen, motor-vehicle report, and criminal background checkMust be able to attend and pass all tests associated with job-related coursework. This includes, but it not limited to: OSHA, HazMat, and FRA related coursesAble to reliably fulfill a set rotational schedule (days, nights, 24/7/365).

    Strong leadership skills and attributesPassion for safety, including the ability to motivate, inspire, and coach others, to maximize safe behaviorsPrioritize an extensive task list that changes on a regular basisGood interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate with team members and customer

    Education/Experience:

    3 to 5 years of operating in an industrial environmentCurrent Safety SpecialistMinimum 1 year of direct supervisory experienceA high school diploma, or equivalentCurrent/valid driver's license

    Here are some of the physical requirements for this role:

    Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions: extreme wind, rain, snow, cold, heat, etc.Comfortable with heightsAble to pass a respirator fit test. May be asked to work under supplied airCrawl under rail cars and work in tight spacesWalk 5+ miles per day on uneven terrain, etc.Must be able to lift 50 lbsSplits time between office and field environment. Must be able to sit and stand for long periods of time
