Supervisor Office Of Bilingual/ESL

The Superintendent invites qualified and interested persons to apply for the position of Supervisor within the Office of Bilingual/ESL.

Qualifications and requirements include:

• Master's degree from an accredited college or university.
• New Jersey Department of Education Principal Standard Certificate (preferred).
• New Jersey Department of Education Supervisor Certificate.
• Valid New Jersey Department of Education Bilingual Education Teaching Endorsement.
• Valid New Jersey Department of Education ESL Teaching Endorsement.
• Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in school or District level administration.
• Minimum of four (4) years successful experience in teaching Bilingual or ESL Education.
• Knowledge of WIDA Standards for curriculum, assessment and instruction.
• Knowledge of Federal and State requirements for the teaching of English Learners.
• Knowledge of New Jersey Student Learning Standards for curriculum, assessment and instruction.
• Demonstrated knowledge of subject specialty and effective teaching methods.
• Ability to plan, organize and administer a District-level professional development program.
• Ability to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Basic functions and responsibilities include:

• Management and coaching of instructional staff.
• Curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
• Organizational leadership.

Reports to: Director of Bilingual Education

Salary: $107,500 - $143,500. Employment period: Twelve (12) Months. Union affiliation: City Association of Supervisors and Administrators (C.A.S.A.)
