The duties include but are not limited to:

  • Administers and supervises a comprehensive plan for Health Science, STEM and Engineering programs.
  • Assists in coordinating efforts for department wide programs.
  • Provides TAPE (Tool for Assessing Program Effectiveness) training, organization and preparation.
  • Provides program / facility / classroom inspections according to TAPE and industry standards.
  • Researches and develops appropriate work based learning programs.
  • Participates in grant writing efforts designed to support Career and Technical Education.
  • Creates and develops appropriate standards for continued professional development opportunities for teachers.
  • Participates in systemwide visits as coordinated through the Executive Director.
  • Provides leadership in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Health Science, STEM and engineering programs.
  • All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Must have a Master's degree in a related field from a regionally accredited college or university.

Must have a valid current Alabama Leadership Certificate in Educational Leadership/Administration/Supervision.

Must provide three (3) letters of recommendation (within the past three years)

Must provide official transcripts for all degrees and administrative courses.

Must attach a resume to your online application.

A minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience is preferred.

Previous administrative experience preferred.

Must submit all qualifications/credentials by the established deadline.

Duty Days 260

Salary Range: From/To Beginning Pay - $70,449.00

Additional Job Information

Applicants selected for certified positions must have undergone an ABI/FBI criminal history background check (fingerprinting administered through sites selected and approved by the MCPSS and State of Alabama Education Department) and been declared suitable and fit to teach under state law. Applicants selected must also pass a drug-screening test via forms provided by Human Resources during the selection process.
