Summary
The Nursing Supervisor is responsible for efficient operations of the hospital to include administrative oversight during the off-shifts, weekends and holidays, and acts as leadership designee in the absence of the Chief Nursing Officer/ Vice President of Patient Care Services. The Nursing Supervisor creates an environment which supports effective communication, leadership and customer service skills demonstrated by collaboration with nursing units and ancillary departments to ensure that daily operations run smoothly. Provides leadership and supervision of the PRN Float Pool, Nursing and other hospital staff assigned to the evening shift, night shift, weekend and holidays, in collaboration with respective department manager/director. She/he coordinates temporary and agency personnel needs. The Nursing Supervisor works collaboratively with the Central Staffing Office in ensuring adequate staffing levels and allocation of staff in order to meet the needs of patients; forecasting future staffing needs based upon staffing matrices and average daily census in a fiscally responsible manner. Serves as a professional role model, participates in continuous quality improvement activities and progresses in personal and professional development. The Nursing Supervisor coordinates activities with other hospital departments, effectively collaborates and communicates with department leaders, patients, medical staff and the public regarding policies and procedures, standards, regulations and other issues of importance and performs related duties as required.Job Title: Supervisor Nursing
Salary Range
$46.13 - $70.37Salary ranges posted for this position represent the expected base pay range for the role. Actual compensation may vary based on location and a variety of job-related factors, including experience, skills, education, and internal equity among Team Members in similar positions.
