    Job Description:

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The ML Instructional Supervisor at CREC plays a critical role in shaping and enhancing the educational experience of multilingual learners across CREC Magnet Schools. This position focuses on supervising certified teachers, reviewing and developing subject-specific curricula, and providing instructional support to both school leaders and teachers in the area of multilingual learners. The ideal candidate is an experienced educator and leader with exceptional knowledge and experience with multilingual learners who is also passionate about curriculum innovation, instructional excellence, and professional development.

    ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Duties/Responsibilities

    • Lead the development, evaluation, and revision of subject-area curricula to align with state and national standards.
    • Ensure that curriculum materials reflect the diverse needs and experiences of students in the CREC community.
    • Collaborate with teachers and content specialists to design innovative and engaging instructional resources.
    • Provide guidance and support to school leaders and teachers in implementing evidence-based instructional practices.
    • Offer professional development workshops and coaching to enhance teaching effectiveness and student outcomes.
    • Conduct classroom observations to assess instructional practices and provide actionable feedback.
    • Other duties as assigned

    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Bachelors Degree (BA) from four-year college or university, or one to two years of related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • CT 092 Certification required.
