Job SummaryThe Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading daily maintenance operations and supervising a team of maintenance technicians to ensure the reliable operation of manufacturing equipment and facilities. This role drives preventive maintenance activities, responds to equipment breakdowns, promotes safe work practices, and partners closely with production teams to maximize uptime and operational efficiency.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader with strong mechanical and troubleshooting experience, a commitment to safety, and a passion for developing high-performing maintenance teams.Essential Job Functions * Maintenance Leadership
Supervise daily maintenance activities and technician assignments.Prioritize maintenance work based on safety, production impact, and equipment criticality.Provide coaching, training, feedback, and performance management for maintenance technicians.Ensure work is completed efficiently, safely, and in accordance with company standards.Equipment Reliability & MaintenanceCoordinate equipment breakdown response and recovery efforts to minimize production disruptions.Ensure preventive maintenance tasks are completed on schedule and documented appropriately.Support predictive and reliability-centered maintenance initiatives.Partner with operations teams to identify and resolve recurring equipment issues.
Safety & Compliance
Champion a culture of safety and accountability throughout the maintenance department.Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations, lockout/tagout procedures, and company safety policies.Conduct safety observations, investigations, and corrective actions as needed.Promote safe work practices and continuous improvement in workplace safety.
Planning & Performance
Monitor maintenance backlog, downtime, work order completion, and other key performance metrics.Support accurate maintenance documentation and CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) data integrity.Coordinate maintenance schedules to support production requirements and operational goals.Assist in managing maintenance resources, parts, and equipment needs.
Continuous Improvement
Participate in continuous improvement, root cause analysis, and equipment reliability initiatives.Recommend process improvements that increase equipment uptime, efficiency, and safety.Support plant-wide operational excellence initiatives.Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent.Bachelor's degree in manufacturing, operations, or a related field preferred.6+ years of manufacturing, warehouse, industrial, or related experience.Prior leadership experience preferred.
