Job Title: Supervisor III

Location: Waterloo, IA 50703
Duration: 24 Months – Possible Extension & Conversion
Shift: 2nd Shift | 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM

Job Summary
· Supervise production and/or maintenance employees on the assigned shift.
· Ensure safety, quality, delivery, and cost goals are met.
· Serve as the primary liaison between shop-floor employees and management.
· Work primarily on the manufacturing shop floor.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead and provide guidance to hourly employees.
· Coordinate and schedule daily production/maintenance activities.
· Assign work, fill vacancies, and schedule overtime based on production needs.
· Ensure employees have proper training, work instructions, and tools.
· Monitor production performance and quality requirements.
· Troubleshoot workmanship and production issues.
· Enforce company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
· Plan equipment and facility maintenance to maximize uptime.
· Monitor department budgets and operating targets.
· Lead continuous improvement, safety, and housekeeping activities.
· Spend approximately 50% of the day on the shop floor.
Required Qualifications
· 1+ year of production/manufacturing supervisory experience.
· 2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience.
· Experience leading hourly employees in a factory environment.
· Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel.
· Strong communication and people-management skills.
· Experience with planning and estimating work.
· Technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and tool & die.
· Organized and detail-oriented.
Preferred
· SAP experience.
Ideal Candidate
· Manufacturing/production supervisor with strong people leadership experience.
· Comfortable working directly on the shop floor.
Strong focus on safety, quality, productivity, and delivery.
