Job Title:         Supervisor III – Operations

Duration:         24 Months – Possible Extension/Conversion
Shift:                2nd Shift | 2:00 PM – 10:30 PM
Position:          Machining Supervisor

Description:

Major Purpose

·         Supervise semi-skilled to highly skilled production, maintenance, and parts distribution warehouse employees on an assigned shift.

·         Ensure products are manufactured and parts orders are completed according to delivery, quality, safety, and cost standards.

·         Serve as the first-line liaison between production employees and management.

·         Drive team performance and ensure departmental goals and objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

·         Communicate local action plans and connect team activities to broader business goals.

·         Motivate employees to achieve operational objectives.

·         Monitor team performance, assign work, and review completion.

·         Take corrective action to maintain quality and on-time performance.

·         Support employee performance management and appraisals.

·         Assign short-term work schedules based on production requirements and established timelines.

·         Supervise operations within established systems and processes.

·         Ensure compliance with Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) policies.

·         Identify workplace risks and promote safe working practices.

·         Coach employees on safe work methods and address unsafe behaviors.

·         Troubleshoot and diagnose complex equipment and system issues during emergency repairs.

·         Operate and optimize complex machines and systems to improve quality and productivity.

·         Identify and resolve complex production inefficiencies.

·         Contribute to data collection and operational analytics reports.

·         Identify and report policy, procedure, and regulatory non-compliance.

·         Escalate serious operational, safety, or compliance issues as required.

·         Complete and verify Daily Time Records (DTRs).
