Position Summary

Responsible for the supervision of the staff of the Health Information Management Services division of ECU Health. Responsible for the oversight of the staff that includes Imaging Services and Release of Information and Duplicate Number staff. Performs other duties as assigned by the Manager of Operations and Director. Serves as back-up for the Manager of HIMS Service Lines. This position is predominantly onsite, providing opportunities for direct interaction and collaboration with colleagues. Remote work will be minimal and only required under specific circumstances.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum of Associate's degree- or higher- in Health Information Technology or other health related field required.
  • Current Certification or eligibility for certification by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) required.
  • One to three years, including 1-2 years in related HIMS experience required.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience in a related health field may be substituted in place of AHIMA certification.

Pay Range

$53,913.60 - $78.581.36/year

  • Onsite role (based out of Greenville, NC)

  • Monday - Friday day shift:

  • 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
