Description

The Role:

As a Forming Supervisor, you will join our Manufacturing Operations team and be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely movement of components throughout the manufacturing process. This role serves as a key operational liaison between departments, supporting production flow, inventory accuracy, material movement, and process adherence. Success in this position requires strong leadership, communication, organizational skills, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate the movement of production components throughout the shop floor and across functional departments, providing status updates to production teams.
  • Attend department meetings, manage action items, and follow up with responsible parties to ensure timely completion.
  • Collaborate with internal customers across Engineering, Quality, Production, Planning, Shipping & Receiving, and other departments as needed.
  • Support Operations Supervisors and Team Leads in prioritizing and reconciling component quantities and assemblies throughout the production process.
  • Manage Shipping and Receiving activities, including operation of barcode and labeling equipment.
  • Coordinate with supervisors to expedite assemblies through manufacturing and shipping processes.
  • Serve as the Shop Floor Business Process Owner (BPO) for barcode and labeling systems, providing technical support as needed.
  • Ensure material movement and transaction accuracy throughout manufacturing, including:
  • Movement of stock items and components between the stockroom and production lines.
  • Adherence to manufacturing transaction requirements within the Manufacturing Execution System (MES/SFM).
  • Coordination of component flow between Foundry and Assembly departments.
  • Maintenance of proper manufacturing order (MO) documentation and physical inventory accuracy.
  • Creation and follow-up of MRBs and Corrective Action Requests (CARs).
  • Support and participate in cycle count activities and annual physical inventory processes.
  • Generate daily work progress reports and maintain accurate production transactions.
  • Reconcile Shop Floor Manager (SFM) and ERP system transactions, quantities, and locations.
  • Act as a shop floor liaison to support Purchasing with material reviews and replenishment requirements.
  • Identify opportunities for inventory and material flow improvements utilizing methods such as Kanban and safety stock strategies.
  • Ensure production schedules are maintained and that manufacturing personnel have visibility to all required components associated with active manufacturing orders.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and support implementation of process enhancements.
  • Perform special projects, analyses, and other duties as assigned.

Our Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED required; Associate Degree in Operations or related discipline preferred.
  • Previous manufacturing experience in a discrete manufacturing environment.

Strong process discipline and data analysis capabilities.

  • Ability to exercise sound judgment and sustain newly implemented processes.
  • Self-motivated, adaptable, and results-oriented with a demonstrated ability to drive improvements and support change initiatives.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and electronic communication skills with the ability to interact professionally and respectfully across all levels of the organization.
  • Strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience with ERP systems and labor/material transaction processing; Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with multiple priorities.
  • OSHA 10 certification is preferred.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay Rate: $30.00 - $35.00 hourly (2nd shift has a 15% shift differential)
