POSITION SUMMARY:
The ELA Instructional Supervisor at CREC plays a critical role in shaping and enhancing the development, refinement, and implementation of ELA curriculum from grades K-12 in CREC Magnet Schools. This position also focuses on supervising certified teachers and providing instructional support to both school leaders and teachers. The ideal candidate is an experienced educator and leader who is passionate about curriculum innovation, instructional excellence, and professional development.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES:
Duties/Responsibilities
- Lead the development, evaluation, and revision of subject-area curricula to align with state and national standards.
- Ensure that curriculum materials reflect the diverse needs and experiences of students in the CREC community.
- Collaborate with teachers and content specialists to design innovative and engaging instructional resources.
- Provide guidance and support to school leaders and teachers in implementing evidence-based instructional practices.
- Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:
Curriculum supervisors may be asked to co-evaluate certified teachers on a case-by-case basis.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Masters Degree (MA) from four-year college or university.
- Experience in teacher supervision, coaching, curriculum writing, and/or professional training preferred.
- CT 092 Certification required.
